Inky99 is confusing wages with cost of employment, which include wages, benefits, medical, retirement, etc.
The methodology for calculating this was the same across the board: for Toyota, and the other categories. Total employee costs divided by the workers. The costs for the Big Three were compared against the costs for Toyota for factories operating in the United States. These Toyota factories are paying exactly the same as anyone else in America for medical costs.
The point remains the same. Apples and apples.
Just as an aside: Most of the sources in those posts are UAW. If I used sources from auto company management, everyone here would have dismissed them out of hand. Just saying.
