re: Actually very impressive
We have had many Toyotas over the years, starting with my parent's 1971 Corona wagon. Currently we have a 91 Previa minivan with 427,000 km on it and still going strong after many years of hauling a boat up to the lake on hills and logging roads and less-than-optimal service, an 05 Tundra pickup and an 06 Yaris 4 dr hatchback of my older daughter's. The Prius is a nice car, but don't overlook the Yaris - not quite as good mileage, but still decent, we easily get 50 mpg (Imp = 40 mpg US) on the highway, it has a good ride, an amazing amount of room for it's size, it can park in a postage-stamp sized spot, performance is quite acceptable and it costs a lot less than a Prius.
