SpaceX founder dreams of colonizing Mars

Musk may well go down in history as the most important link in the chain that leads to colonization of Mars. He's put a sizable fortune into this, seems as deeply commited as Zubrin, and is making real progress on a sustainable path to space. He's low key compared to Zubrin, but he sounds both deeply commited and humble about his plans while at the same time calling colonizing space an evolutionary leap rather than just a human technological advance in comments during a speech I heard in person.

Regards,
Mark
