In point of fact, Musk has a different architecture than Zubrin for manned Mars flight - note the launch capabilities of the rocket whose
development he financed. Its not a super heavy launcher.
On a more fundamental level, the problem that manned Mars fantasists such as yourself face is that the public of no one nation desires to pay for go it alone manned Mar flight, regardless of the cost, or whether 4 or 6 people are flown.
Thus, whoever leads in the international effort to build CAPS will ultimately lead in international manned Mars flight.
