Sure, and I'll bet you think that that "they jes' went nuts!" is sufficient to explain what happened in Germany, just as you accept "they jes' hates us!" as a sufficient explanation for Islamic terrorism. But I have more intellectual integrity than that. I recognize your attempt at blowing off the idea of authoritarian conservatism as a desire to deflect attention from it, because its implications are more than a little uncomfortable for you.
Once again you're putting partisanship before the good of the country. It can happen here, and yet you're trying to disarm us of our intellectual defense against drifting into authoritarianism. Why is that?
