The GOP hasn't copyrighted "conservative", and it's a versatile word that does in fact have many meanings. Many of those meanings have nothing to do with politics and ideology, and in fact this is one of them: Authoritarian conservatism is a psychological disorder entirely independent of ideology.

I think your spluttering is a pose, frankly, because given the number of times that I've defined and explained authoritarian conservatism, you know full well that authoritarian conservatism is a psychological state of mind that has nothing to do with surface ideology. There was no practical difference in the conduct of Nazi Germany compared to the Soviet Union, despite superficial ideologies 180 degrees polar opposites. Authoritarian regimes are authoritarian regimes, and those who support them are responding to identical psychological imperatives.
