You don't want feedback or information. You want validation and reassurance.

You don't want to know what we think. You want to show us we're mistaken.

You don't care what conclusions we may have arrived at, or what our opinions might be, or even if we've given any of these things any thought. As far as you're concerned we're unprincipled, or weak, or naive, or foolish. Or worse. What you've forgetten is that people on a space board are mostly interested in...space!

Actually, TB, you're not all that unusual a personality type. And I hope you take some comfort when I tell you it has nothing to do with the nature of your political views. I've met Marxists who think and act just like you. College in the 60s was full of them.

In fact, you are identical psychologically to my cousin Robert the Red. He too is intelligent, charming, articulate and good-natured, basically a decent and honorable family man--until you get him on politics. I'm afraid I've been a big disappointment to him, too. He simply finds it intolerable that someone who agrees with him on some things doesn't agree with him on everything.

I know what made him the way he is, his career and life as a journalist was ruined by an unscrupulous businessman's lies and treachery. Blacklisted, he had to start over from scratch,as an apprentice in the building trades, were he worked his way up the union hierarchy determined to make life miserable for the bosses. Of course, being smart and well educated, he was able to devise an intricately assembled ideological structure to justify his actions, too.

I'd be very curious to know what the corresponding event in your life was. I just hope you realize no one on this board had anything to do with it.
