I can see that you're frustrated, but because you inflict that same frustration on everyone who tries to debate you, I must tell you that my sympathy is distinctly limited. You're not seeing the mote in your own eye; as Hobbes observed, "they that call for right reason to decide any controversy, do mean their own."

Of course facts are important, but in many, many cases, things you consider to be fact I see as merely your beliefs. A great many of our conversations consist of you phrasing ideological assertions as statements of scientific fact, and me saying "oh bullshit". (I deleted several examples, because the last thing I want to do is reopen any of those angels-dancing-on-a-pinhead arguments.)

What you conservatives sneer at as "moral relativity" is in reality the wisdom to acknowledge that human affairs are not a branch of physics, and that there's very little objective reality to human life. There is no reason some people choose vanilla and others chocolate, it just is. You'll lower your blood pressure and live longer if you learn to distinguish between objective and subjective reality.
