It's evident that you're wrapped a bit too tightly, taking seriously my riff on your straight line. Eri got it--I was being too lazy to look up what the hell you're talking about and asking you to do it for me.
Loss of the ability to distinguish everyday ironies is certainly evidence of wrapped-too-tightedness. Ironically, in your entire post, if I substitute "Tom" for "they" or "them" or "people", it makes perfect sense. How can you be so confident which side of the event horizon you occupy? Have you perhaps formed your own singularity with the mass of your conviction?
Rest assured that if we took a poll, everyone, ally or opponent, would ascribe to you many admirable qualities. But nowhere on the list would you find open-mindedness and intellectual flexibility. To your allies, you're a rock precisely because, well, you're a rock, solid and eternal and adamantine. To your opponents, you're the wall on which we crack our foreheads.
