Space/Science » in reply to NASA Moon Plan........... TOO AMBITIOUS

It's about the agenda.

The bottom line, as always, is who wants what and why. No one in the Obama administration wants the moon. All they want is poor people to vote for them and keep them in power for another four years after the first term is up.

The moon or Mars is of absolutely no interest to the socialist politicians who pander to the lowest common denominator of their constituents.

The message is real clear here folks:

Its over.

The USA is going downhill faster than Calvin and Hobbes in red wagon. NASA will NEVER send anyone out past LEO again. Banks are failing left and right, Obama funny money is all over the streets and the dollar soon will take another major hit.

Its time to start canvassing the billionaires and giving them some motivations that appeal to them for INVESTING in manned space exploration. Focus on the new technologies and patents that can make them many more billions back on Earth. Stop selling with altruism - that doesn't work. Stop waiting for NASA to do diddly - because they are a red herring designed to waste the time and distribute the focus of the small but vocal folks who wonder just what happened to this nation and its dedication to exploring new frontiers? NASA has been a distraction. A failure on so many levels its hard to know where to start.

Wasting time with politicians and bureaucrats is just that - wasting time. It's time for a serious private umbrella organization to be formed. An organization that connects and facilitates growth in rocketry, alternative propulsion, space bio-sciences and other related science and development.

This organization must put aside pet projects in favor of the larger goal of developing Earth as a real spacefaring world. A real "Starfleet Command" is needed. And this panel's deathknell for NASA and manned space should be the siren call and the inauguration of this organization.

Capitalism is the ONLY thing that will get man back to the moon or Mars now. People here, and elsewhere in the ever-shrinking space community, better not forget it.

Time for the Earth Space Development Corporation to take over and turn Earth into a real spacefaring world.
