The Soviets also have manned plans for the Moon

A few years ago they were talking about sending tourists around the
Moon for a mere $100 million on a modified Soyuz, which is what that
spacecraft was originally designed to do back in the 1960s. Have not
heard much on this lately.

China and India also keep bringing up sending their own people to the
Moon in the coming decades, but it is mostly talk and dreaming at this
stage for them.

Falcon and its parent company does seem promising, but I will feel
better once a few more of their rockets have successful flights. I have
no idea what other private industries are doing to get to the Moon, but
I doubt there are any plans more serious than a robot probe for now.

In any event, I am not happy with NASA's situation and as I asked below,
what does it take to get them as much money as so many other
government agencies get all the time?
