Its the salesmen and the middlemen. Its the marketing mavens, bankers and financiers and other parasites that feed off the creators' genius and our suffering. And I do not hate, but I pity those who make excuses for them, who want to grow up to be like those parasites. Do they really believe the boss will step aside and let them have a chance when their turn comes just because they played the game and followed the rules and bought the program?

I don't want to live in a nation of shopkeepers. And I certainly don't want to live in society run by retail merchandisers and consumer marketeers. I don't want to live in a world dominated by the ethos of businessmen and lawyers and politicians and priests. I want to hang out with scientists and artists and scholars. Maybe these people will never rise to positions of power and control, but they are the ones who deserve our respect and admiration.
