Old Spock creates a black hole-

Romulan gets sucked through the hole and wants to know where the hell Old Spock is. Kirk's dad is killed saving his crew at the same time James Kirk is born.

Old Spock emerges from the hole 25 years later but it only seemed like seconds to him (narration by Old Spock). Conveniently, James Kirk is 25 now and has joined StarFleet and the Romulans are now messing with Vulcan-

(I've must have missed something, What were the Romulans doing for 25 years while Kirk was growing up?)

I don't see where an alternate time line was created?

Flub:

Near the end. JK and Young Spock kicking the shit out of Romulans after New Scotty beams them into a bad spot. New Spock doing mind-meld on downed Romulan. Another Romulan is about to shoot New Spock from behind and gets shot in the left side of his face by Kirk and falls. Kirk comes running up from behind. How do you shoot someone in the face from behind.

It was good but I'm not watching it a third time...
