Fifty-three and a wake-up
I guess I'll let it out, too. My last day working for Da Man is 25 June, so in GI parlance, I'm a short-timer, a double-digit midget. After that, I'm living off my entitlements. Those who are still employed will be personally taking care of my pension, my SS, and my medical bills.
And that's ok. 'Cuz by the time they're ready to retire and I've croaked, the GOP will probably have trashed Social Security and Medicare. Timing is everything, and the boomers will get the last laugh. Just think, after taking the system for all its worth, the hippies got old and turned Republican. But they made sure they emptied the family strongbox on the way out the door.
