Your catalog of usurpations stopped just short of actually accusing anyone on this board of being a part of this culture of domestic betrayal you find so self-evident. Perhaps it might be because you realize these villains aren't yet aware of their twisted allegiances, in fact, might be quite shocked to learn they were even suspected of having them. But what do they know, right? What they think doesn't matter.
Tom, I know exactly what you're talking about. I've heard it all before.
So what have you got? Let's review: ubiquitous domestic treachery and foreign Bolshevism, a noble but victimized Volk, stabbed in the back, struggling to be free of unjust domination and humiliation, a scapegoat class responsible for this treason, jingoistic nationalism, a congenital inability to see any alternative to hippy pacifism besides toxic militarism, constant bullying Brownshirt agitprop, and a pseudoscience of phony documentation and revisionism to justify the whole elaborate fantasy of betrayal, all served up by a shrill, self-righteous zealotry and paranoid ideology appealing to cultural exceptionalism and fear.
Wrapping it up, let's not forget an obsession with an idealized Golden Age that never existed, xenophobia, and an adolescent fixation on patriotic totems, fetishes and iconography. The only thing that's missing here is the blood component; no Master Race or genetic enemy; but that's more than made up for by the sentimental lionizing of the entrepreneurial hero and the demonization of that convenient intellectual and moral mongrel: The Eternal Liberal.
I've seen this movie before, and I don't like how it turns out.
