Which part do you think is not fair?
Insurance companies pay doctors/hospitals/etc. as little as possible. They charge premiums to the insured. The premiums have continued to climb and insurance companies have cut allowed services to patients, increased deductibles, etc. and their profits continue to go up. Patients are caught in the middle and get screwed.
