So when it comes to SS (Yes I am making a Nazi comparision here), you're saying that MY generation should suffer while select people of YOUR generataion live of the loot.

LISTEN TO YOURSELF. Your arguements about you not picking what the government does with their power and therefore blaming them for the propblem is not helping the conservative stereotype. WE vote THEM, the federal politicians into power. If they do sonething we don't like, then it's your own goddamn fault for voting them into power. ( This goes for BOTH the SS and healthcare arguements)
Ah, but we are covering healthcare, aren't we? I have to agree with BuckGalaxy, the mandatory insurance policies are a pimple on the piecheek of progress. These guys are simply taking advantage of a open industry, and have gained support and power from those who suppport them (for whatever reason, I know not). Long story short: They are not here to catch s when we fall, they are here to bleed us dry. Also, there is nothing wrong with universal healthcare. We would be simply pooling our money together to help all of us pay the bill when our pocket's empty. If you don't want to pay, you don't get health care, and you pay for each hoispital visit yourself. EVERYONE WINS
