Sit down and think. The people pouring into that state will not be the kind of people who grow an economy. They will not be the kind who generate the wealth that "progressives" need to loot. Your "tax base" will consist, like it does in any "progressive" paradise, of an ever decreasing number of increasingly-taxed and persecuted producers. These will flee if they can to other states, like they are doing right now in California.
Your Great Experiment State will collapse, or more likely run screaming to the Federal government to print enough money to save their burning arses.
