As I pointed out to someone else in another post, democracy is not about someone getting to vote me into unchosen servitude.
You can't make single-payer voluntary. As with any other government-controlled system, coercion is inherent in the concept.
I'm still fascinated at a culture that has developed the idea that the free market is the root of all evil while an all-powerful state is naturally benevolent. And this in the face of historical evidence which shows the exact opposite.
