The Democrats had an overwhelming majority in Congress since January of 2007. They had total control of both houses and the Presidency since January of 2008. "We Won," said Obama. The Republicans were shut out and their proposals ignored.
The dirty little secret of the last two years is that a united Democratic Party could have done almost anything they wanted to. It wasn't the Republican votes in the House and Senate that held things up. Go look up the vote results.
And you're doing the same thing the Democrats are doing. Pretending the most devastating election defeat in almost two generations never happened. Nobody was blaming the Democrats for what they didn't do. They were blaming the Democrats for what they DID do.
Think about it Eri. If they thought Democratic ideas were the way to go, why did they boot them out?
