I hope this isn't the last word. There are still questions on the table.

F: Did I interpret this incorrectly?"
B: No, you didn't misinterpret that comment at all. (And I'll change my mind about that if I ever get interested.) And I'm surprised I have to point out the below.
In my post I pointed out that the issues I have with your original statement were the words "often", more than one time, and about "posters", plural. A lesser issue is "pompous". I believe there would have to be more than one statement, and that it would have to include more than one poster for your statement to be true.
And my statement wasn't "pompous". It was certainly "flip", sarcastic, cute without being clever, and uncalled for, but not pompous. The pompousity is the minor issue though. "Often" and more than one poster are more relevant.
Arf
By the way, on the matter of "information exchange", there is a lot of information in unexpected places. For instance, while not relevant to this thread, I used to love it when people would lie to me. Most often there is more information in a lie than there is in the truth, and it is a flashlight showing your way down a trail.
In this case, though the posts are between you and I, that never stops people from commenting. There is an enormous amount of information in who hasn't commented. (eb - an opinion, and no citations) B

Nope.
