Re: experience

Bowser,
On various occasions several posts have (L)annoy(ed) me to some extend and I've felt having to reply.
However, many times I have not and not long thereafter, have seen much nicer messages from the same posters and I was very glad not to have replied.
Maybe living so far away from the US helps (with different hours) to put some perspective and wait a little. There are sometimes missed opportunities to have settled things, if the reaction was too harsh. Often, a person would feel aimed at when a poster would argue about generalities (or so he pretends) and not about him, particularly. I'm the only continental european regular here, so every time soemone blasts against Europeans (must at leat happen 5 times a week;), I wonder what that means. But then, there are so many different Europeans, it's hard to defend all of them. I just wonder if the Americans realize this. I wonder because americans too often talk about Europeans in a general way, when I know perfectly well it's unfair and untrue. Sure, sometimes, the Europeans have the same opinion about a matter. But then, because of their various backgrounds, their history, such an opinion might have some weight.
