Get over it, people!
The "war on terrorism" is a ploy to manipulate the American public, and the rest of the world. There are far greater threats to American lives and world peace than terrorism, but it's a great boogeyman to be held up to the fearful and ignorant to get them to give up their rights and to distract them from the real problems. Bush is a cowboy in the worst sense of the world, as evidenced by Iraq - shoot first and ask questions (about the infrastructure and security, whether there really were WMD, etc) later.
