How do you know?
These cases are shrouded in secrecy.
How do you know that they aren't political prisoners if there is no sun shining on these cases? You don't trust the government to pick up a nickel off the sidewalk and allocate it properly. Why is the government suddenly trustworthy in the former regard if not in the latter?
The prisoners are, of course, not personal enemies of anyone influential. But their symbolic value, the symbol of Threat Among Us, is enormous.
Or is justice a relative value now?
