Kyoto treaty...

The EU and Japan have signed up for it in the last few days.......

So, a question....

The " Internal-combustion engine automobile" was first used in 1885.

In 1885 makinds fastest method of communicateing over long(ish) distances was the carrier pigeon.

"Medicine" largely consisted of "Poultices and leeches"... aspirin wasn't discovered till thirty years later... antibiotics later still.

Electronics were competely unknown

My question....

Mankind has not come up with a viable, economic alternative to the internal combustion engine because.........

A. We're too stupid?

or

B. Some other reason?
