Ten dollars a gallon!

Was that accurate? Ten bucks a gallon for automobile-grade fuel?

Good thing Britain is small. Is it hilly, too?

About 5 years ago I broke my foot, couldn't exercise my dog, started riding a bike. Love it.

In the US trucks pay higher taxes and tariffs to help pay for the damage to the roads. There are many weigh stations to check that no single axle is carrying too much weight, as thats a big part of the problem for the roadways.

Some trucks have axles they can drop when loaded, lift and avoid the resistance when lighter. There are concrete mixers, for instance, with "boosters", rear wheels with weight transferred to them when loaded, and ride tucked up when unloaded. Dump trucks which have a 4th axle they can drop when they need to.

Ten dollars a gallon? Is there a free drink with that, a lap dance, maybe lingerie show with a fill-up?

If you dry that ten dollar stuff, is there a white powder left behind? Then if you jam a bit of that powder up your nose, do you care if your car has gas or not?

Is that ten dollars taxes, or what? How big are the "cojones" of any politician or bureaucrat who could do that? Wow.
