Agreed :)
No " Consumer" ( A disgusting eighties word used by corporations and politicians to replace an active "Citizen" mindset with passive " consumers" version ) wants heavily polluting obsolete technologies.
NO-one does... not you, not me, not anyone reading this....Two questions......
If a viable alternative to the petro-chemical\internal combustion had been invented......who would have......?
1 Been in a position to fund the research and thereby own the patents.........or better yet.. never have published any patents or papers on such research at all?
2 Been in a position to buy up/or acquire such patents from the inventor if it didn't come from thier own laborotories too begin with?
I cannot prove this of course..........I do not have either the time or expertise to root through the vast database of stuff oil corporations have patented.
Nevertheless, I refuse to believe that a technology well over 100 years old, dateing from before radio, flight, antibiotics, is the best mankind can, or has, achieved.
I can think of no other major industrial\technological "product" from the 1880's that has not been replaced, superseded, bypassed or otherwise rendered obsolete by now.
So I make the following prediction... a viable alternative to the internal combustion engine will not appear until all oil fields currently owned and invested in have been pumped dry.
