So you are saying you prefer to keep abortion legally available to be performed by Doctors, because otherwise abortions will still be performed themselves by unsafe methods. (I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, just trying to understand your argument).

I can understand the reasoning, and might even be swayed to wanting abortions kept legal because of this.

However that doesn't change the fact that I believe abortions to be morally wrong. I never did say I wanted to ban all abortions, in fact I would leave that option open to rape victims etc. I consider the abuse of alcohol to be morally wrong as well, but am not a prohibitionist.

I still don't agree with your opening argument about a fetus can't think, therefore is disposeable argument. Maybe you can find some middleground with me on this as well.
