The San Francisco Chronicle is so unashamedly leftist that I don't even bother writing to them like I frequently write to the Mercury News. It would be like trying to clean up after an elephant who has just eaten a truckload of green apples and prunes. Think of a newspaper entirely written by Bowser, only with about half the brains.
If it wasn't for the comics and a pretty good TV guide, I wouldn't buy even the Sunday-only edition that I do. Some weeks, now that the rat has died, I never need to open any other part of that paper. This particular section just caught my eye sitting on my table this week.
This is all in just that one opinion section of last Sunday's paper. A solid spew of leftist blather, with the sole exception of their token conservative, Deborah Saunders, who stands out there like a dove at a crow convention. Oh, wait. She isn't included on the website. Well, trust me. She had a few inches in the hard copy.
SFGate, the main web site, has its own opinion page, with stuff like the amazing Mark Morford, who we last heard from here. There is also more of the same class warfare crap likethis, from someone who apparently believes no wealthy person EVER earned what he has. Of course, declaring all wealth as wrongly acquired is what gives a leftist the "moral authority" to take that wealth away from them. Wealth in the hands of a socialist is then "good" wealth.
Most such newpapers (The New York Times, Washington Post, etc.) have given up pretending they're objective, and have settled happily into their role as Democratic buttmonkeys, with the single goal of destroying Bush and the Republicans.
Oh, anyone check circulation numbers lately?
