Bush also squandered - inside a year - the near unanimous sympathy and support the US had from the ROW after the terrorist attack.
What happened to the election promise? "If we're an arrogant nation, they'll resent us. If we're a humble nation but strong, they'll welcome us. We've got to be humble and yet project strength in a way that promotes freedom."
It went AWOL from Day one, returned for about 50 seconds after 9/11 and then disappeared again.
One of these days, reality will set in and the whole right may realize that we're not living in a Tom Clancy novel.
