But you've gotta wonder, with the US moving toward it's second regime change, if Al Qaeda figures 9/11 was worth it. Thousands of their number captured or killed, their funding under attack, their leadership forced so far underground that the ones who aren't pushing up the daisies can see the ones who are, the Muslim world decidedly split and not at all rallying behind them.

Besides, I can't begin to imagine how it would hit the fan if they pulled off another high-profile attack on American soil. The storm they'd face would be utterly devastating.

Maybe they are willing to die for their cause, but how does being hunted down and either imprisoned or killed advance their interests? How does being number 1 (with a bullet) on America's poop-list get you closer to your goals?
