Interesting choice
If Torricelli resigned (I understand he offered to do so if he could choose replacement) the Gov. could appoint whoever and delay the election up to 2 years. Of course, this would be challenged due to term limit but it sounded like a "good" strategy to assure a dem candidate.
Torch will probably never resign with Lautenberg as the choice.
Write in? Not too sure that will work but it is better than nothing, I guess.
