I know a lot of Democrats who are reasonable and good hardworking people.

I think the party as led by Mr. Daschel of South Dakota is really misguided and headed for eventual disaster. This whole Torch affair is just the latest in a long string of missteps...As such, I don't understand how Tom Daschel garners the support that he does...

If I were Dick Gephart (A more reasonable Democrat) I would under-cut Daschel's shenanigans because while it might cause some short-term pain for the party, in the long run it would make the party much stronger.

I know Mary Anne disagrees with me. But then she has that right. And I still think she is probably one of the most intelligent people on this BBS.
