Delaying the election up to two years would be unconstitutional...
i think the US Supreme Court would need to review this law's constitutionality since it would in effect make the NJ Senate seat a Governor-appointed position...
Every time an election gets near, the current Senator could resign and the governor could simply appoint a new Senator and delay the election another two years...This could go on indefinitly...Is that constitutional?

I think the Democrats found a Constitutional loop hole that really needs to be filled.
P.S. Ironic that the "Democrats" would find a loophole around Democracy isn't it?
