Having Torricelli as the Democratic candidate deprives New Jersey voters of a "choice" exactly how? Didn't they "choose" him in the primaries? Knowing he was a crook? Maybe his candidacy will deprives the Democrats of a win, but what does that have to do with the voters?
Torricelli was down by 13 points. The New Jersey voters, fed up with this sleazeball, WERE "choosing." Now the Democrats are attempting to rig the game again when the "choice" isn't going their way.
Many military ballots have already been sent in. How many absentee ballots have already been mailed? Ballots have been printed, voting machines set up. This sudden change of candidate stinks, and everyone knows it.
