Of course, there was no B-52 in 1945; you're trying to make hay out of a simple typo.
One very important aspect of that old story concerns the weather conditions at the time of the Empire State Building incident. Compare please, with the absolutely perfect weather on 9-11-2001.
Planes do not accidentally fly into buildings under clear visibility like we had on Black Tuesday.
It should have been obvious from the outset that this was an intentional act.
