The alledged looters were Iraqi...So much for the cultural pride argument.

Apparently they Iraqi's want to fill their children's bellies with food more than they want to protect their "priceless" antiquities...

But such is war. Things do get broke, burned, and buried under tons of ruble.

Time to start thinking about the future rather than crying about the destruction of a bridge to the past.
