We find our Mars Nuts grasping at straws again as usual, all the while claiming some "scientific" expertise -
1) One has to remember that not every one uses the net.
Manned exploration is supported by those with higher education, and any internet conducted poll will be limited to that group.
2) In this case, the poll reflects solely those who took the trouble to respond.
Those who would trouble themselves to respond will naturally be those in favor.
3) Thus the responses of the 200,000 or so AOL users who troubled themselves to reposnd are in no indicative of support by some 285,000,000 US taxpayers of manned Mars flight.
4) All that said, what would be more interesting would be to see whether the AOL space enthusiasts want their space tax dollars spent on manned Mars flight or on finding the next comet or asteroid before it hits the Earth -
As they know what the answer will be, that's one the Mars Nuts will do their best to avoid -
