If that is all you are getting from this then you are clueless.

Ed is say science isn't science if he says so. This is without any proof other that him saying so.

He is indirectly attacking good people who are work at things Ed seems unable to do.

When I give him a direct route to explain how it's not science being done by those he calls "Mars Nuts" he avoid it like the plague! Ed is as Geoff discribes him elsewhere in this thread.

And basically, he has said things like killing people would be worth the price of getting the word out about the threat of impactors.
EP is immoral. He believes evil is useful. It's not a very unusual viewpoint. It's merely stupid.
