Been there...done that.

Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist ...you name it.

If I had my quantum wave analyzer with me, I could illustrate the quantum emissions of righteousness exuding from your consciousness and attracting their polar, in-phase opposites.

But since that little gadget isn't around yet - and won't be for a couple of hundred years - I will rely on the ol' standby and we can look at your reaction to Tom.

You know what? I just read the first line and that's about all I need to read. - MA
Maybe you should read the whole thing. - Tom Brosz
Maybe you should quit telling me what I should do. (n/t) - Mary Anne

To the outside observer Tom wasn't telling you what to do as his "maybe" clearly made the comment a suggestion and it didn't seem out of place when you relate that you only needed to read the first line. But you strongly perceived it as a bossy command. In other words your perception of reality is viewed much through channels of others trying to tell you what you should do.

Catholic school - a great place to find oneself on the receiving end of such attitudes, and a great testing ground to overcome not only dogma, but address the fundamental issue of the right/wrong aspects of some religion or individuals using religion on telling you how you should live your life. Let's look at the title of your post:

If you want to become a Hindu, you should just convert.

Maybe you should quit telling me what I should do. (n/t) - Mary Anne

This little example above is the plainest way for me to illustrate that what emotionalizes you about others - is also within you and is a component part of your personality.

Your wording of your response is also illustrative of strong emotion:

In the meantime, quit blaming victims for bringing criminal acts and other cruelties upon themselves. It's repulsive and it's incorrect.

It is only "repulsive" if it is incorrect. To discount it out of hand is natural - I did at first too.

Here we get into that great big gray area which science has about as much information on in this day and age as there were books on electron microscopy in the fifth century AD.

Different religions explain misfortunes as a test from some god or that the victim, or his/her relatives, displeased god in some way and were summarily punished or afflicted.

In this time period apparently random misfortunes are explained away as just that - random misfortunes. It is only when the person as an energy expression is further pursued that the environmental give and take is analyzed more precisely.

You have likely heard the phrase, "An animal can sense fear." Well this is very true inasmuch as fear is being broadcast in a quantum wavelength form and often triggers an attack by the animal. Likewise, an animal can sense a lack of fear - and this often triggers fear within themselves as they see things through a primitive predatory intellect.

Well if we take this concept and broaden it out - we see that ALL our thoughts and emotions are being broadcast and the SCIENCE of wave motion MUST apply to these waves!

Waves are very specific things and do not interact randomly.

It is only after this little known concept is pursued and understood that one can truly decipher the causes of those events heretofore viewed as "random".

For this to be invalid you must deny that any emissions stem from our brains and consciousness. However, when one knows that our nervous system is electrical in nature and that our brain is constantly firing miniature lightning bolts between synaptic cells, such a position would be folly. Each human is a veritable broadcasting beacon - and we communicate with eachother and our environment solely with the use of waves!

Even our senses are keyed in to wave motions. Vocal waves as formed by the resonating vocal chords, waves interpreted by our cochal nerves, etc.

When this wave give and take between man & man and man & nature is better understood, this concept of "random" will be as obsolete as bloodletting. At the same time "victim" will take on a whole new meaning as well and be replaced with the phrase, "Someone who has received negative reciprocal action."

All events and actions can be seen from either a broad brush or they can be viewed in increasingly more detailed perspectives: from an atomic standpoint, and even further - as a sea of waves interacting.

Gods don't exist. Knowledge does. Folks who had more knowledge could be mistaken for gods by primitive mentalities. Gods are not running around orchestrating others misfortune - but equally invalid is the concept that this misfortune is random. The infinite universe is very precise and functions with mathematical precision of give and take, cause and effect and scientific principles. When we limit our view to the superficial broad view, our perceptions can be easily misled. It is only when we get more detailed that the inexplicable becomes perfectly explainable. This is true not only as we observe nature - but is true in the course of our own lives as well.

In some ways nature has perfectly set up a testing ground for human development, even in masking the culpability of our past actions which would be burdensome until we (and society as a whole) are better equipped to deal with such a concept without prejudice and contempt.

If everyone could truly see the totality and pasts of any individual they would likely find it "repulsive" until they have enough perspective to see exactly how their circumstances and reactions formed them into what they are. Hate will dissolve into compassion. Disgust dissolves into understanding. Even the most vile actions and despicable behavior is formed over time and many past experiences. It does not excuse it, but as a society we are better capable of then assisting these folks and understanding the key events that shaped their mentalities and is useful in attempting to curtail further the self-destructive spiral they are embarked upon.

In this day and age, suggesting that a baby is anything other than innocent is "repulsive".
Hitler, Napoleon and Genghis Khan were infants too and no one could perceive the destruction and death they would bring about as they were crawling on all fours. In the future, when man is better capable of controlling his lower instincts - the pasts of each individual will be known, as early as when the child is still forming in the womb, and in some ways they will be burdened by the knowledge of who they were and what they did. However this burden will be offset by the benefits of this same knowledge and how to avoid making the same mistakes they previously did. Introverts can be assisted to become more outgoing; Criminals to become more honest; Murderers to become more compassionate of their fellow man.

Today is not that day. As surely as night follows day if someone knew that an infant was the reincarnated Hitler - they would abort it or kill it. Parents might keep aborting until they got a "good" baby much as some of today's parents seek a boy or a girl. The time is not yet right and such knowledge would cause more suffering, more hatred and more negative repercussions.

In the future, the understandings I have related here will be used and even when a Hitler is reincarnated - the reasons WHY he came into certain parents will also be known as all these pasts will be deciphered by scientists with undreamed of technologies which can view the pasts of any individual as if they were watching a show on TV today. Each family will be able to workout past conflicts and do so without further strengthening discord or hatred.

The governments will have a whole new set of laws on the books to deal with these new scientific findings and the protests and radicals of today will seem tame as these debates on the very nature of justice are revaluated and debated. These debates here are a good forebearer of things to come - imagine billions of likeminded folks debating these new discoveries, what they mean to mankind and how society must adapt!

Automatic abortion of mass murderers?
Retroactive charging of unpunished crimes?
Perpetual prison sentences?
"Clean slate" laws?
Privacy laws!? Who can peer into another's past and for what reason?
Physician disclosure laws. (as injuries will be treated using an awareness of past events as well)
Courtroom usage of past viewers?

As you can see the future will be ripe with hot debates. ;-)

The Hindus and Buddhists are to wave science as a child's magnifying glass is to the Hubble telescope.

There's a lot more to it than that. I sometimes wish I could go back to the days when I viewed myself solely as a "good guy, benefactor-type". That was real easy to do!

Unfortunately, one realizes to become really good - you have to go through a LOT of trial and error in a LOT of time periods where being "good" is being "awful" by future standards - much as the suicide martyrs are viewed as "good" by a misguided minority today and will experience much future suffering as a result of their ignorance until they learn and evolve away from such violence. Yet in a few thousand years they too may be as benevolent as Mother Theresa and driven to make amends. As a matter of fact I can relate with confidence that even the "good" folks of today appear as if "evil" to the "good" folks of tomorrow. And on and on it goes - so that the "good" person of 9560 would appear to be an angel of glowing radiance to the person of earth today - and yet to others of 9560 they would appear pefectly normal.

Evolution does not just describe cells and structures - but morals and understandings as well!

When one has used one's knowledge to unintentionally mislead others as well - one has an obligation to assist others and share newly attained and updated knowledge. That's why I'm so verbal... ;-)

On that parting note... have you ever wondered why you are attracted to the role of librarian?

;-)

Best wishes,
