questionable analytical ability

If your analysis of the NEA/Mars debate is that it is over whether Mars or the Moon is the best place to search for NEA's, then you really aren't comprehending the debate at all. No one has suggested in any of those posts that Mars Is a better place to search for NEO's than LEO or even the Moon. The only reason the two are mentioned together is that Grondine's fixation on lunar based NEO detection sets up a strawman fight for funding between NEO detection and manned Martian exploration. Did you read much beyond titles?

Your comments on life in also suggest a strange view of planetology and why Mars is of interest in exobiology. Comets and most asteroids are the planetisimal left overs of planetary formation and very few seriously believe life evolved anywhere other than on large bodies like planets or large Moons. Serious discussions of meteorite based panspermia assume they are the special type of meteorites which originate from impacts with planetary surfaces. Believing the best place to find signs of life is on the precursors to the bodies most believe are needed to evolve them is hardly the most likely scenario from the available data. You may be right and there are scientists who believe as you do, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Were you tought these positions you are taking or did you come up with them on your own?

see ya
