re: Capitalism *is* slavery

It is the policy of survival. While many will choose to be slaves spending long days & nights on their feet working their muscles rather than live on the street or die, they are effectively slaves who earn only a subsistence wage. The subsistence wage is what we are forced to accept when competition is increased, via open trade agreements with other countries, reduced regulation, etc. Survival becomes the MO of employers: two workers for the price of one, 50% longer workday for the same daily wage, zero maintenance & safety unless it affects production. And sometimes survival isn't what motivates employers, in some cases it's just greed or the accumulation of power over others. Capitalism is a systematic mechanism to ensure that those in power stay in power. It also forces people to work together who shouldn't have to. Half the people out there wouldn't spend one more second breathing the same air as their co-workers if their livlihoods didn't depend on it.

Why do you think the world hates America? It is because capitalists from our countries have gone to their countries and abused human rights.

Why set up shop in poor countries? Because it's cheaper: there are no worker rights, no regulations, no taxes, no minimum wage to drive up costs, no democracy to give the people a way to protect themselves. The conditions in sweatshops are even worse there. But that doesn't mean we don't have sweatshops in America.
