... We will never leave LEO if it's left up to the wealthy. An inspired Government commitment is needed for Space to be opened up.
One thing that bugs me in the apologetics of the self-satisfied is how they claim that their wealth from industry or whatever is somehow the product of their "labour"... purest BullShite. The major share-holders of multinationals exploiting the thrid-world have never laboured in their pampered lives. Their profits come from the labours of others and the wealth of the consumers they treat with contempt.
Don't get me wrong. Capitalism is the fairest system for governing an economy BUT what is promoted as capitalism is far from it these days. Hyper-wealth is built on the whole system being in thrall to the few...
