I saw those events 20 years before Palestinians started with those suicides.
In 1979, things were pretty calm, for us, but for the Palestinians it wasn't the same thing (although it was much better than since intifada started).
I did meet with liberal jews who were freel speaking to Palestinians.
They also were friendly in foreign countries.
When we learned about the agreements leading up to a signature in 1993, I was quite surprised that there actually had been a dialogue to a high level, even.
And it turns out there still is a dialogue going on, behind Sharon's and Arafat's back.
That's good news!
