No. It isn't.

The basics of human economics are simple enough to teach a ten-year-old, basics that are driven by moral principles and philosophy.

Most of those attempting to make it into an incomprehensible mass of jargon, formulas, and other pea-soup fog generators are trying to cover up their own economic shell games, usually consisting of organized looting of the productive for their own ends. I first learned this while taking economics in college, including special lectures from Walter Heller, the Great Man of the economics department back then.

Over my lifetime, I have found, with few exceptions, that if an important concept can't be explained relatively simply, it's probably bullshit. Many great scientists, economists and philosophers have had no trouble at all explaining their ideas without requiring hundreds of pages of fine print or languages spoken only among scientists.

This thesis generates apoplexy in some people, especially those associated with academia for some reason. Fine. Bust a blood vessel, see if I care.
