Tax cuts? Deregulation? You're talking like none of these things has been tried yet over the past twenty years and that there is no proof that they work. Have you been reading the papers? Check the stock market lately? I'm beginning to wonder if you aren't typing from a yurt in the Himalayas somewhere. This is as bizarre as the argument I've been having about whether capitalism is better than socialism. I'm completely at a loss as to what you would consider evidence. Fortunately, the current economic boom is obvious to most Americans.
And for the record, dinky little tax cuts with a short lifetime aren't going to do anything to stimulate the economy. Real industries and businesses plan over years and decades, and jackass politicians who change tax policy back and forth every six months just screw things up. Bad enough the tax code changes every year anyway. The best thing that Bush could do right now is make all the tax cuts permanent.
