Actually, I think they spend a lot more trying to get the drugs through the FDA labyrinth than they do on R & D. Hundreds of millions per drug, and with no guarantee that the drug will pass. Just out of curiosity, does Canada simply accept FDA results, or do they spend money on safety testing as well?
