A sorry moment in our history where we failed to provide proper support for our troops. Yet, we still took out 100:1.

In retrospect I can find fault for the way that the war was made to appear based on WMD but I frankly never felt that WMD was sufficient justification. The greater plan of regime change and democratization of Iraq was/is a good plan only if it works.

If it fails either by Bush's inability to make it work or by his failure to be re-elected in order to stay the course, I will freely admit that Bush was a boob and it was a bad plan. IMO it is too early to call. By the end of his second term it will be apparent to anyone.

If we succeed I will have been right from beginning to end and I will not scramble for footing if we fail.

I was a supporter of the VNW as long as it seemed we could win. When it became apparent that the war was irrevocably a political exercise, I wanted out as much as anyone.
