Insult: To treat with insolence, or contemptuous rudeness
Insolence: pride or haughtiness manifested in contemptuous and overbearing treatment of others; arrogant contempt
So you didn't understand what I meant. Fair enough, but I thought your statement “nor did I use any insults†which I emphasized – followed by a list of six statements in your post that at least some would find insulting- would be a clear enough example of what I meant by your denial tactic. Guess not.
Im done splitting semantic hairs with you.
And notice that that 4.4 billion is NOT money donated by the US under this administration- which WAS the topic at hand(*1) (Notice I was contesting that Bush rebuilt afghanistan).
Bush included 1.2 billion in his budget for this year which congress up by 300 million to 1.5 billion. Bush has budgeted 2 billion for 2005
And notice that you ALSO don't point out how much more or how much less Afghanistan recieved in foreign aid during the pre-9/11 era.
"We are the biggest donor to Afghanistan, with our aid this year to the Afghan people totaling $113 million dollars." Under Secretary of State Thomas Pickering echoed her comments: "we are the largest supplier of humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. It went up last year from $70 to $100 million."
Ambassador Nancy Soderberg, March 2001
Looks like the US attacking the Taliban was a Goddamn monetary windfall for Afghanistan. What the heck are you complaining about? Afghanistan being rebuilt on "Bush's watch"?
Tough shit.
