It is interesting that in much of the media and punditry, pro-Kerry testimonials were taken as true without question, with no thought that maybe the people standing on the stage with him might have something to gain by it.
Those who come forward with anti-Kerry testimony are being dragged through the mud, questioned on every detail, accused of having an axe to grind, political motives, or worse.
Kevin Drum, who writes one of the most reasonable liberal blogs on the Net, called these decorated veterans "lunatics."
All this with pretty much the same level of information on both sides going into this.
This was also typical of the "Bush AWOL" investigation, with pro-Bush testimony being subjected to intense scrutiny, while anti-Bush testimony got red-carpet treatment by the media.
I personally find that a lot more relevant than actions of decades ago.
